Harbor View Adult Family Home provides a full range of residential senior care services for older adults living in Tacoma, Washington. As a licensed adult family home, we care for up to six residents in a genuine home setting — not a facility — with 24/7 on-site caregiving, individual care planning, and the kind of personal attention that larger communities cannot offer.
Our services span daily personal care, dementia and Alzheimer’s support, chronic disease management, mental health care, medication management, and transition care from hospital or skilled nursing. Every care plan is built around the individual — their history, their preferences, and their clinical needs. Julia, our owner and lead caregiver, holds CNA certification and over fifteen years of professional experience across the full spectrum of aging care.

What care services does Harbor View Adult Family Home provide?
Harbor View provides 24/7 caregiver supervision, medication oversight by a licensed CNA, fall-prevention checks, dementia-appropriate routines, three home-cooked meals daily, and personal-care assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility. We coordinate skilled nursing, therapy, and hospice through home-health partners.
Do you accept Medicaid?
Yes, we accept Washington Medicaid for qualifying residents through the state's COPES and CFC waivers, in addition to private pay and long-term care insurance.
How many residents do you have at a time?
Each of our two homes (Harbor View AFH and Rainier Vista Farm AFH) cares for a maximum of six residents at a time, per Washington State adult family home licensing. The 6-resident model is the core of our care approach — caregivers know every resident personally.
Are tours available on weekends?
Yes. Most family tours happen on Saturday or Sunday afternoons, which works well for adult children who are visiting from out-of-area. Call or schedule online and we will confirm a tour time at one or both homes.
