A Real Family Home for Mom or Dad in Tacoma

Harbor View AFH, Julia, her MaMa, Family & Team were an absolute blessing to my MaMa & Me🙏🥰My Mama's wishes were to be in a home overlooking the water & in a neighborhood so she could see people passing by all day long💦😍We were able to make her dream come true for the last few months of her life💝The team was super attentive all hours of the day & night...I never worried when I wasn't there visiting...I knew that mama was being taken care of just like I would have🙏Mama so enjoyed the coffee & yummy food too, all day, every day😍Julia worked closely with hospice to make Mama's last few months as joyful, luving & comfortable as we could've wished for🥰I am forever grateful & remain close friends with Julia & her beautiful family🙏💖

My Mom has been living at Harbor View Adult Family Home for about a year now. She loves the view of the Puget Sound from the living room window. She gets to be involved in activities at the home and especially enjoys the holiday events. The caregivers are patient, kind, and take very good care of her. Harbor View AFH was an excellent choice for her.

Harbor View AFH provided superb care for my Mom for the last year of her life. This included assisting with the transition to hospice. The home cooked meals, room and activities made her feel like she was at home. They were great on providing prompt updates when things changed.

My Mom had the good fortune to spend the last year of her life at Harbor View Adult Family Home. I should put an emphasis on the words 'family' and 'home.' Because that is what my Mom experienced. Not only is the home in a beautiful setting with a gorgeous view of the sound, but the residents are made to feel like they are home. The facility is spotless, the meals home cooked, the residents cared for beautifully, and there is much effort to personalize each person's experience. There is even attention to engaging the residents in holiday celebrations. Anyone looking for a quality place for their loved one, should schedule a tour. The Brewers

HVAFH was the best choice for my late mother. She could no longer see well, hear well, or remember from one moment to the next. We took her to a large facility with many amenities for a few weeks of respite care. She never left the room. After that we received three excellent recommendations from a hospice nurse, a social worker, and a chaplain, for Harbor View. It was lovely, only 5 to 6 in care. Everything she needed was within steps of her bedroom. There was a nice porch just outside the living area, which had a view of the Sound. She always had a snack beside her when I went to see her. The staff was attentive, always around. It had the atmosphere of a family home. My mom had the kind of care I want for myself or someone I love. We selected HVAFH after visiting several homes in the area. This home is run by a whole family (and additional staff) that are clearly dedicated to what they do and their clients. I found them all to be compassionate and open to feedback or special requests. They were able to transition from full care into hospice when that was needed. Thank you Julia and your family for making space for our family at your home!

I would highly recommend Harborview Group Family Home. My 98yr old mother was staying there. She was treated with love, respect and gentleness the entire time she was there. The staff was very understanding and would always listen to requests and try their hardest to fulfill them. I always felt welcomed when I came to visit my mother. What an awesome place! The house is fully remodeled, comfy bedrooms and lots of living room. They have plenty of space on the deck with spectacular view to the water. Owner/caregivers are friendly and responsive. You’ll get here a very pleasant individual treatment for you loved one.
