At Harbor View AFH, we understand that food is medicine — and that dietary restrictions are a real part of managing chronic health conditions. Our special dietary meal plans are customized for each resident’s health needs.

Therapeutic diets include diabetic meal plans (carbohydrate-controlled), cardiac diets (sodium and fat-controlled), and renal diet plans for kidney conditions. Texture-modified meals accommodate swallowing difficulties including minced, pureed, and thickened liquid options. We also honor cultural cuisine preferences reflecting our diverse Puget Sound community. All therapeutic diets are developed with input from the resident’s physician.
