Fall Prevention Programs

Fall prevention programs at Harbor View AFH in Tacoma. Risk assessments, balance training, environmental modifications, and assistive device support for seniors.
Falls are the leading cause of injury-related hospitalization among older adults. At Harbor View AFH, our comprehensive fall prevention program addresses this risk through assessment, training, and environmental design.

Fall risk assessments | Balance and strength training | Environmental modifications | Assistive device training | Medication reviews | Multi-disciplinary approach

Our multi-disciplinary approach includes detailed fall risk assessments for every resident, balance and strength training exercises adapted to individual ability, environmental modifications including grab bars, non-slip surfaces, and clear pathways, assistive device training and fitting, and regular medication reviews to identify fall risk factors. Because we serve only six residents, we can implement individualized prevention plans consistently.
